Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing.
Trim hair to about a quarter-inch if needed, avoid sunburn and harsh exfoliation the day before, and arrive clean. Skip heavy caffeine beforehand. Our estheticians will review your health history and explain the process so you feel comfortable and prepared.
Some initial discomfort is normal, especially on first appointments. Techniques like deep breathing, topical numbing creams, and experienced estheticians minimize pain. Regular waxing also reduces sensitivity over time. Discuss pain concerns with your provider for personalized options.
Typically results last three to six weeks, varying with individual hair growth patterns and prior hair-removal methods. With regular appointments, hair often grows back finer and sparser, which can extend intervals between waxing sessions.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise, and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, skip exfoliation for two days, and apply soothing lotions or aloe as recommended to calm skin and prevent irritation.
Aim for hair about a quarter-inch long — roughly the length of a grain of rice — so wax adheres properly. If hair is longer we can trim it; if too short, allow another week for regrowth before scheduling.
Pregnancy is usually safe for waxing, but consult your healthcare provider and tell us about pregnancy and skin sensitivities. We can adjust technique, use gentler products, and perform a patch test to reduce risk for sensitive skin.
